Summary:The concept of networked feedforward-feedback control system is proposed based on practical industrial process control. Its configurations as well as the development of its uniform model are investigated in detail. Feedforward-feedback control system, wherein the control loops are closed via real-time networks, is called networked feedforward-feedback control system(NFCS for short). Three different configurations of NFCSs are proposed based on industrial process control and the locations of networks are explicitly pointed out, respectively. The uniform closed-loop system models for the three different configurations of NFCSs are developed via the augmented vector method, taking into account the network-induced delays and data packet dropout simultaneously.
