Summary:INTRODUCTION Constipation is a prevalent gastrointestinal disorder characterized by infrequent or difficult bowel movements, often associated with straining and the sensation of incomplete evacuation.1-4 Despite its high prevalence, constipation is commonly underreported, leading to delays in diagnosis and management. In Pakistan, as in many other regions, constipation remains a significant yet overlooked health issue, with implications for both individuals and the healthcare system. Addressing this requires a long-term approach focused on dietary, behavioral, and lifestyle modifications, guided by empathetic healthcare providers.
