However, one presenter pointed out, in his closing slide during the recent annual conference on the subject, that this has been the quest of this industry for some time. Today, all of the delivery slips are sent to one of two regional centers where they are scanned and read with optical character recognition technology. Although the company continues to use paper, the ROI resulted in how the ordering process was streamlined and how human error was removed. |
