Abstract | Aqueous extract of Ocimum sanctum was evaluated for its Antiulcer activity against methanol induced ulcer in Wistar rats. The present investigation revealed that Ocimum sanctum exhibited significant antiulcer activity by enhancing antioxidant potential of gastric mucosa thereby reducing mucosal damage.
