We reviewed and analyzed historical data to study the cultural values of pheasants in China.In order to restore the cultural value of the Phasianidae.we demonstrated values from three dimensions,cognitive process,aesthetics values and artistic expression,symbolic meaning.Our research objective was to increase understanding of the cultural connotations of the phasianidae so they can be used in wildlife conservation and zoo management.
