This paper introduces the basic situation of development of the domestic institutional repository from the aspects of institutional repository deposit payment, functional positioning and construction methods firstly, and then analyzes the main problems faced by the construction of university institutional repository combined with the actual situation of universities. Finally, a proposal for the construction of university institutional repository is proposed.
