In this study, we consider country unit planning in Xinbang in the context of new-type urbanization as an example to summarize the innovative research on urban function location, construction land reduction, land consolidation, and conditional construction area and people. We find that country unit planning still needs to improve in terms of the rural industry model, quality of life of aging and semi-public communities, farmers＇ resettlement program, historic preservation, and so on.
