The U.S. has made some progress in combating prescription opioid overdoses, with a 13.5% decrease in prescription opioid-related deaths in 2018. 1 Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has now created a perfect arena for relapses and maladaptive coping for vulnerable populations.
