General information, blood glucose, prevalence rate of osteoporosis, bone mineral density( BMD) and fracture risk between the two groups were compared for analyzing the effect of T2 DM on osteoporotic fracture risk of senile men. Results The prevalence rate of osteoporosis in the study group was higher than that in the control group( P〈0. 05). There was no significant difference in the rate of osteopenia between the 2 groups. BMD of the lumbar vertebrae and the femoral neck in the study group was lower than that in the control group( P〈0. 05). The ten year probability of major osteoporotic fracture and hip fracture in the study group were higher than those in the control group( P〈0. 05). Conclus |
