The results indicated that the effects of genotype, environment and their interaction on the 7 principal chemical compositions in the middle tobacco leaves were all very significant. The environment had the greatest effect on the chemical composition content in the middle tobacco leaves, followed by genotype x environment interaction, and genotype had minimum effect.
