The plot comparative tests for 10 flue -cured tobacco varieties were carried out in 2011 in 7 different locations of 6 provinces (cities), and the influences of genotype, environment and their interaction on the principal chemical compositions in the middle leaves of tobacco were analyzed according to the test results. The results indicated that the effects of genotype, environment and their interaction on the 7 principal chemical compositions in the middle tobacco leaves were all very significant. The environment had the greatest effect on the chemical composition content in the middle tobacco leaves, followed by genotype x environment interaction, and genotype had minimum effect.
