After birth, there are stem cells in pancreatic ductal tissues. These stem cells ate called adult pancreatic ductal stern cells. The research of the adult pancreatic duct stem cell Ls important to reveal the mechanism of regeneration in adult pancreatic stem cell. The isolation, purification and culture in vitro, morphologic characteristics, surface marker and committed differentiation of the adult pancreatic duct stem cell were reviewed. The study of the adult pancreatic duct stem cell lay the foundation for the treatment of animal and human diabetes mellitus.
