Based on magnetic resonance images, combined with post-processing techniques, hemodynamic status can be assessed. Previous studies have analyzed hemodynamics features in normal and stenosed carotids. The association between hemodynamics factors and plaque vulnerability has been proven. Arterial hemodynamics parameters including wall shear stress, pressure are important factors in formation and development of atherosclerotic plaques.  |
