Carabids are insects ground active in farmland,they are viewed as bio-monitoring species of many ecological environments,and as biological control agents for some pests.This article reviewed researches of carabids in classify,common biological characters,sample methods,ecological role,range of moving space,feeding character and study methods.Associative with our studies on ground beetle,the article recommended some protections and using measures,suggested direction for future research.
