Sea cucumber has a high nutritional anti medicinal value. In recent year, price of sea cucuntber is rising with the demand increasing, which led to reduetion of sea cucumber natural resources. Thus, sea cucumber culture has become a new pillar industries of mariculture, and tropical sea cucumber aquaculture research will be an important trend of mariculture research. In China, Stichopus japonieu is the main aquaculture specie. The article reviewed the tropical sea cucumber aquacuhure, in order to provide a reference fo the sea cucumber breeding and aquaculture research.
