Xialu 4＇ is a new mid-late maturing luffa euhivar originated from the cross ＇C-34＇x＇Yusan17＇. It grows strongly with much branching. It is early ripening and tolerance to high-temperature. The head and tail of fruit are well-proportioned and skin color is dark green. The fruit is 50.0 -60.0 cm long, 4.6 cm width and the average fruits mass is 400.0 -500.0 g In addition, it is suitable for storing and shipping and has good productivity. It yields 2 500-3 000 kg/667 m2. It is suitable for summer and autumn planting in southern China.
