Summary: | Green supply chain management (GSCM) is a subject of growing interest amongst academics and practitioners. Several studies have been conducted in the past to evaluate GSCM initiatives and investigate their strategic benefits in terms of environmental performance, financial payoffs, and competitiveness. However, the factors that should be considered to make these GSCM initiatives strategically beneficial have rarely been discussed. To develop this field further, based on the institutional theory and natural-resource-based view (NRBV), we have developed a conceptual model for strategically prioritizing GSCM initiatives. The conceptual model proposed uses a combined application of the analytical network process (ANP) and structural equation modelling (SEM). It is recommended that future research opportunities expand on the proposed conceptual model. |
