The usefulness of an intervention with a serious video game as a complementary approach to cognitive behavioural therapy in eating disorders: A pilot randomized clinical trial for impulsivity management

Certain eating disorders (EDs) are characterised by high levels of impulsivity. Serious video games may enhance standard treatments (such as cognitive‐behavioural therapy). Playmancer sessions, along with standard treatment, are useful in reducing certain impulsive traits in patients with EDs.
