Urostachya. The ester was not present in the subgenera
Lycopodium and
Lycopodiella, where the dominant phenolic acid was chlorogenic acid. The concentrations of the “Urostachyaester” were found to increase with increasing altitude. Hydroquinone and protochatechuic acid have been observed in a few specimens. |
