Summary:Significant progresses have been made in improving various properties of NEOQUENCH (MQ) series magnets by reflecting ever more stringent market requirements to production technologies. In this paper the most powerful radially anisotropic magnets, NEOQUENCH-DR series, are highlighted and their applications to AC-servomotors are presented. Merits of replacing several arc segment/bread-loaf magnets, which are used in conventional AC-servomotors, by one-piece ring magnet, NEOQUENCH-DR, are; 1. Economic (1) lower assembly cost (2) reduced cost-up in changing number of poles & back-EMF pattern 2. Technical (1) perfectly sinusoidal back-EMF pattern possible (2) smaller cogging torque (3) stronger stick to a rotor hub
