Summary:The article presents the results of modeling and optimization of temperature fields by the volume of the workpiece during induction heating using a numerical two-dimensional electromagnetic thermal model of the process. Time-optimal control problem of induction heating subject to constraints on maximum permissible temperature is formulated and solved. The obtained optimal control algorithms lead to an increase in the efficiency of induction heaters by reducing total heating time and absence of defects due to technological limitations.
