| Summary: | This review article is devoted to the problem of corrosion of technological equipment, such as: columns of primary oil refining plants, borehole pumping columns, oil storage tanks, piping systems, in the oil industry under operating conditions in hydrogen sulfide-containing media. A method of corrosion protection of the most vulnerable elements of technological schemes is considered using the method of changing the composition of the medium: the introduction of special reagents into working fluids that slow down the reactions of destruction of metals - corrosion inhibitors. The analysis of literary sources revealed the presence of many scientific teams involved in the modification of existing and the production of new compositions inhibiting hydrogen corrosion. Special attention is paid to nitrogen-containing inhibitors, which are most often the subject of interest of the world scientific community of corrosion specialists in the development of inhibitors, since they demonstrate high efficiency in preventing corrosion caused by exposure to hydrogen sulfide. The authors consider such classes of compounds as: higher aliphatic mono- and diamines, amides, amidoamines (including imidazolines), azomethines (Schiff bases), quaternary ammonium compounds, Mannich phenolic bases, esters and azoles. The article describes in detail the features of the chemical composition of the developed reagents, the properties of the inhibitors and their ability to reduce the rate of general corrosion and hydrogenation of metals in aggressive oil processing environments. This review article will allow us to systematize the available scientific papers on the method of protecting equipment in the oil refining industry using nitrogen-containing organic compounds and can be used as a basis for further scientific research in the field of obtaining important industrial products, including from waste from existing industries.
