Frictional Characteristics of Polymer Composites Based on Polytetrafluorethylene and Carbon Fibers

Polymer composites based on polytetrafluorethylene and UVIS-AK-P carbon fibers are studied in frictional tests. The PV factor is determined in dry friction at a slip velocity of 0.2 m/s. Using a mathematical model of friction between a steel disk and a polymer disk, the maximum load is determined, t...

Summary:Polymer composites based on polytetrafluorethylene and UVIS-AK-P carbon fibers are studied in frictional tests. The PV factor is determined in dry friction at a slip velocity of 0.2 m/s. Using a mathematical model of friction between a steel disk and a polymer disk, the maximum load is determined, taking account of the permissible temperature of 120°С for the frictional surfaces.
