Summary:Methods Resting state functional MR and 3D-T1 images of 30 MS patients (mean age +- SD: 40.6 +- 9.1 years) and 30 age-matched healthy controls (mean age +- SD: 40.5 +- 10.1 years) were acquired on a 1.5T whole-body system (Siemens Sonata). After linear co-registration of hippocampal masks to functional EPI (shown for a single MS patient in Figure 1A & B), mean left and right hippocampal time series of each subject were extracted (Figure 1C).
