Summary:We have applied the wavelet transformation on large RR interval data sets and detected the medication effect on patients. The scatter plots of wavelet coefficients of RR interval data sets provide the “states of the cardiovascular system.” Our plots of scalewise variation of wavelet coefficients can be viewed as 'overall health indicator', named generalized heart rate variability plot. A comparison with the widely used statistical measure like SDNN is also made.
