| Summary: | •To leverage the capabilities of multiple flexible resources in transmission and distribution networks (T&DNs) and solve the large-scale power outage problem of DNs under main transformer fault, this paper proposes a distributed coordinated service restoration strategy for T&DNs based on network partition. The main contributions of this paper are as follows:•Faced with service restoration requirement, a distribution cluster partition method is proposed to divide the large-scale DNs into multiple independent subregions, which are modelled separately and make service restoration decisions independently. A novel evaluation index for cluster restoration capability is established which comprehensively considers the cluster electrical modularity, the power balance, energy balance and nodal voltage offset within cluster. Then tabu search algorithm is applied to solve the optimal partition scheme for large-scale DNs.•Based on the improved generalized Benders decomposition (GBD) algorithm, a distributed service restoration strategy for coupled T&DNs is presented. By presetting the charging and discharging states of ESSs with cluster power balance index and modifying the objective function of subproblems, the proposed strategy overcomes the convergence problem of multi-period coordinated optimization of T&DNs. The improved GBD algorithm helps to achieve the distributed optimization of coupled service restoration problem of T&DNs and avoids the data explosion and curse of dimensionality problem under centralized optimization method.
To leverage the capabilities of multiple flexible resources in transmission and distribution networks (T&DNs) and solve the large-scale power outage problem of DNs under typical main transformer fault, this paper proposes a distributed coordinated service restoration strategy for T&DNs based on distribution network partition. Firstly, a comprehensive evaluation index system for cluster service restoration capability is established and combined with cluster partition algorithm to divide the large-scale interconnected DNs into multiple independent operation subregions, in order to improve the efficiency of service restoration. Then, a coordinated optimization model for service restoration of T&DNs is constructed, with considering the requirements of load power restoration and system operation security and economy. After that, based on the generalized Benders decomposition algorithm, a distributed iterative calculation method for the T&DNs service restoration optimization model is presented. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed network partition method and distributed service restoration strategy for T&DNs are verified using a simulation case, which are constructed with an IEEE 6-bus TN and four interconnected IEEE 123-node DNs. The calculation results of proposed distributed service restoration strategy are very close to those of centralized optimization method. |
