THE ROLE OF COMMUNICATION NETWORKS IN THE ORGANISATION OF MATERIAL AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR CONSTRUCTION ENTERPRISES

Objectives. The article is devoted to relevant issues associated with the use of communication networks in the organisation of material and technical support for construction enterprises. The expediency of disclosing the role of communication networks in construction is due to the fact that the level of development of communication links at the enterprises where the studies were conducted is low and lacks consistency. The aim of the research is to establish methods for implementing communication functions in the field of material and technical support due to factors that promote the growth of competitive advantages and increase the management efficiency of construction enterprises.Methods. The theoretical basis for the study consisted in the foundations of management theory, construction economics and logistics. The study is based on an investigation of the importance of communication networks in the organisation of material and technical support for construction enterprises. The application of analysis, observation, survey and interviewing methods allowed the creation of an integral portrait of the internal and external system of communication links in the sphere of organisation of material and technical support for construction enterprises in the Republic of Dagestan.Results. The results of monitoring the organisation of the logistical support function for construction enterprises in the Republic of Dagestan showed that significant obstacles continue to prevent the establishment of necessary contacts between the subjects of management, hampering the formation of optimal management decisions at all levels. It is shown that an improvement in methods for organising communication networks facilitates timely purchase of material resources, ensuring a correspondence between the quantity of supplies and demand for them. The creation of necessary contacts in the course of the implementation of material and technical support functions and consequent optimisation of management decisions will improve the efficiency of construction companies.Conclusion. The formation of communication links in the material and technical support of construction companies optimises the number of suppliers of raw materials and materials, reduces production costs and promotes the development of the closest contacts between all stakeholders, ultimately increase the output of competitive construction products.
