Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of quality control circle (QCC) activity in improving the preparedness for hospital discharge among breast cancer patients. Methods The problem-solving QCC method was adopted to understand the present condition and influencing factors of poor preparedness for hospital discharge among breast cancer patients. Targeted interventions were carried out to improve the preparedness for hospital discharge. Results The qualified rate of preparedness for hospital discharge increased from 71. 50% before implementation of QCC activity to 90. 87% after implementation of QCC activity. Conclusion The QCC activity is potentially effective to improve the preparedness for hospital discharge and enhance the self-care ability of breast cancer patients.
