| Summary: | Many cases of scoliosis are idiopathic, and therefore the causes have yet to be clarified. Subject A had experienced involuntary contortions of her spine and discomfort for 3 years. She also experienced difficulty when breathing, particularly at night, and, as a consequence, frequently suffered from insomnia. When a titanium implant was brought close to her body, her spinal column began to twist. This case suggests that dental implants may cause scoliosis. |
