Summary:Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) is a benign reactive vascular lesion characterized by papillary proliferation of endothelial cells. We describe a case of IPEH arising in a 28-year-old man. On admission, a bluish red nodule was noted on the right side of upper lip. The pathological diagnosis of the resected mass was IPEH (pure form) with a thrombus. We briefly also review cases of IPEH in Japan.
