There was no evidence of metastasis to the submandibular bone and the cerebro-meningeal system, The clinical diagnosis arrived at was numb chin syndrome. After he was administered vitamin B-12 and diazepam, the condition improved. Isolated mental neuropathy has been known as numb chin syndrome, most cases of which were reported to accompany advanced malignant diseases.
