Summary:Purpose – Organizational agility is a concept related to the ability of organizations to respond swiftly to change and demands, crucial for their success in the innovative and competitive business environment. Bibliometric analysis is frequently employed in the scientific community to shed light on the trajectory of academic studies pertaining to the selected field of research. The present study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of academic research on the topic of organizational agility within the Web of Science database. Design/methodology/approach - A comprehensive search was conducted in the Web of Science database using the term "organisational agility" in the 'topic' field for bibliometric analysis of published studies. The frequency trends of the studies were determined over the years, and keyword analysis was performed. Studies related to tourism were examined by narrowing down the search to the Web of Science category "hospitality leisure sport tourism." Findings – The analysis revealed an increasing trend in the number of studies on the subject over the years, with articles emerging as the predominant form of research output. The keyword analysis indicated frequent co-occurrences of key terms such as strategic agility, firm performance, and dynamic capabilities with the keyword 'organizational agility.' A total of 14 studies related to organizational agility in the field of tourism were identified. Discussion – The findings of this study demonstrate the significant scholarly interest in the topic of organizational agility. The increasing volume of research over the years suggests that the subject will continue to be a focal point in academic literature. The relatively limited presence of the related concept in tourism-related studies implies the necessity of adopting agile management practices in tourism enterprises.
