Summary: | The utilization of a hexadentate imidazole-based phenolate ligand for the preparation of heterobimetallic cobalt(III)/silver(I) complexes was reported. These newly synthesized Co/Ag complexes were shown to be efficient single-component catalysts for ring-opening copolymerization of CO2 with terminal epoxides, generating CO2-based polycarbonates with high product selectivity and excellent carbonate repeated units. |
