Summary:Recently, in the Lancet journal, a paper published by the Global Burden of Diseases Health Data Center published a ranking paper on the quality of health care in various countries in the world, causing continuous controversy in Taiwan. Why did Taiwan, which used to be regarded as one of the best in the world in the field of medical care, only rank 45 in the world in this new study, lagging behind neighboring Singapore, Japan, and South Korea? Are the methods and information in this article credible? This article attempts to explain the methods used in this article, to let the public know more about the source of the article's data and research methods, and to explain why Taiwan's ranking in chronic kidney disease care is lagging behind.
