Abstract_FL Lab studies on CO2 contamination of high density drilling fluid was carried out .The in‐fluence of conventional drilling fluid chemicals on the CO2 contamination was evaluated .Meanwhile , CO2‐contaminated high density drilling fluid was treated and the reasons for contamination were clari‐fied .Eventually ,a set of suitable precautions and solutions were proposed for CO 2 contamination of high density drilling fluid in Sichuan Gao‐Mo block .
