미국과 중국의 한반도 전략에 따른 동아시아 지역경제 영향 연구

본 연구는 한반도 문제에 있어 미국과 중국의 전략변화와 그에 따른 동아시아 전반의 지정학적 요인을 북한의 대응을 통해 분석한다. 특히 지정학적 요인을 수로 위의 세력 모델을 통해 이해관계가 있는 국가들 간의 역학관계와 북한의 핵문제가 가진 특수성을 분석하였다. 북한의 핵은 지역안보에 매우 위협적인 요인으로 긴 시간 유지되고 있으나 핵이 가진 특수성에 의해 미국과 중국 등 강대국 또한 즉각적인 해결 혹은 결론을 얻지 못하고 있다. 또한 북한은 한반도라는 지정학적 위치를 전략적으로 활용하며 중국과 미국 양측이 포함된 다자구도를 만들어 협상에 유리한 입장을 취하려는 전략을 꾸준히 추구하고 있다. 북한은 즉각적인 타협이 아닌 단계적 접근을 선호하고 있고 미국은 반복되는 협상 실패에 따른 부담으로 최대의 압박과 함께 전략적 인내 전술을 동시에 활용하고 있다. 이러한 구조는 하나의 운하를 사용하는 여러 국가 간에 운하를 통해 얻을 수 있는 이익을 분배하는 방법에 대한 각기 다른 이익 추구와 접근법에 대입하여 설명할 수 있을 것이다. 북한은 북핵문제의 당사국으로 포함된 미국과 중국 등 주변국에 비해 현저하게 낮은 국력을 가지고 있으나 동아시아라는 지정학적 위치와 핵이라는 국제사회에서 특수한 전략요소를 통해 운하의 통행을 제한하며 운하의 통행수익을 최대화 하려는 전략을 구사한다. 새로운 미국의 바이든 행정부 출범을 앞두고 한반도 문제에 따른 미-중 전략은 동아시아 전반에 영향을 줄 것이다. This study analyzes the strategic changes of the US and China in the Korean Peninsula issue and the corresponding geopolitical factors in East Asia through North Korea's response. In particular, the geopolitical factors were analyzed through the channel passage dilemma model to analyze the concerns between countries with interests and the specificity of North Korea's nuclear issue. North Korea's nuclear weapons have been maintained for a long time as a very threatening factor to regional security, but the great powers such as the United States and China have not been able to obtain immediate solutions or conclusions due to the special nature of the nuclear weapons. In addition, North Korea is steadily pursuing a strategy to take advantage of the negotiations by strategically utilizing the geopolitical position of the Korean Peninsula and creating a multilateral structure that includes both China and the United States. North Korea prefers a step-by-step approach rather than an immediate compromise, and the United States is using strategic perseverance tactics with maximum pressure due to the burden of repeated negotiation failures. China pursues the role of a counterweight according to the situation with the greatest goal of regional stability. This structure could be explained by substituting different interest-seeking and approaches on how to distribute the benefits that can be obtained through the canal among the countries using a single canal. North Korea has a significantly lower national power than countries such as the United States and China, which are included as parties to the North Korean nuclear issue, but through its geopolitical position as East Asia and special strategic elements in the international community, such as nuclear, restricts canal and maximizes the return on canal use. In the up coming new administration in the United States, both US and China's strategy toward East Asia will make regional stability. KCI Citation Count: 0
