PURPOSE:To provide a computer performance evaluating device which is extremely low in its load to a computer system, and can always obtain the busy rate of an input/output device in the computer system by every high precision, and in addition, can be easily adaptive to even the high-speed input/output device. CONSTITUTION:The subject computer performance evaluating device is constituted of an input/output operation starting part 1 to give an instruction to start input/output operation on the reception of an input/output request, an input/output operation start time storage part 2 to store time when the input/output operation is started by the instruction of the input/output operation starting part 1, an input/output insterruption processing starting part 3 to start when the start-up of the input/output operation is completed, an input/output interruption start time storage part 4 to store the time of the completion of the input/output operation when input/output operation completion information arrives from the part 3, and simultaneously, calculate difference from the input/output operation start time stored in the input/output operation start time storage part 2, and a cumulative summing part 5 to accumulate differential time calculated by the input/output interruption start time storage part 4 for a prescribed period of time.
