Abstract | The invention provides a detection and recognition method for tooling positions in circulating procedures. The detection and recognition method comprises the steps that a tooling position retrieve table is set according to the total procedure number and the total tooling number in a production line; the tooling stay time numbers of all the procedures are accumulated, and accumulation is performed again when the accumulated tooling stay time number exceeds the total tooling number; the tooling stay time numbers of all the procedures are sequentially acquired to form a tooling detection sequence; a tooling position sequence equal to the tooling detection sequence is looked up in the tooling position retrieve table; all the tooling positions are determined according to the found tooling position sequence. In this way, all the tooling distribution positions in all the procedures can be quickly determined.
