Summary:The Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology/Association canadienne des infirmieres en oncologie (CANO/ACIO, 2024) is a member-driven professional organization. As such, it engages in a regular practice of gathering feedback from its members about what they think is important and ought to be worked on by the Association. This input is used by the Board of Directors to provide leadership for the specialty and act to support its members. Every two to three years, board members develop a new strategic plan which sets out the priorities and strategies for moving ahead, both nationally and internationally.
