디자인 요소가 종합병원 안내 표지 시스템의 접근성에 미치는 영향 연구 -서울시 소재의 대학병원을 중심으로

한국의 국민 의료 정책이 확대됨에 따라 국민들의 건강과 의료 서비스에 대한 수요가 크게 증가하였고, 이로 인해 종합병원은 더욱 다양한 서비스를 제공해야 하는 부담을 안게 되었다. 병원의 안내 표지 시스템 디자인은 환자의 체험을 개선하고 효율성을 높이는 데 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 불완전한안내 표지 시스템은 환자들의 혼란과 스트레스를 유발할 수 있으며, 이는 의료 서비스에 대한 전반적인 평가에도 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 병원 규모의 확대와 기능의 다양화로 인해 안내 표지 시스템의 디자인은 더욱 세밀한 기획과 디자인을 필요로 한다. 본 연구는 디자인 요소가 종합병원 안내 표지 시스템의 접근성에 미치는 영향을 탐구하고, 실증 연구를 통해 이러한 요소들이 사용자 체험과 안내 효율성을 향상시키는 데 있어 얼마나 중요한 역할을 발휘하는지를 밝히고자 한다. 본 연구는 질적 연구와양적 연구를 결합한 방법을 사용하여 두 단계로 진행된다. 첫 번째 단계에서는 서울특별시의 대학 종합병원의 안내 표지 시스템에 대한 사례분석을 통해 디자인 평가의 핵심 지표를 추출한다. 두 번째 단계에서는 설문조사를 통해 환자, 환자 가족, 직원 및 병원 관계자들의 의견을 수집하고, 선형 회귀 분석을 통해 디자인 요소가 안내 표지 시스템의 접근성에 미치는 영향을 탐구한다. 연구 결과에 따르면타이포그래피, 색상, 그래픽, 위치, 조명 등과 같은 안내 표지 시스템의 디자인 요소는 접근성과 유의한 정(+)의 상관관계를 가지며, 각 요소의 영향력의 크기는 위치, 그래픽, 색상, 조명, 타이포그래피순으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 병원 안내 표지 시스템의 디자인을 위한 이론적 지원을 제공할 뿐만 아니라 미래의 디자인 실천과 연구에 방향을 제시하며, 이를 통해 향후 안내 표지 시스템 디자인의 발전에기여할 수 있기를 기대한다. As South Korea’s national healthcare policy expands, the demand for health and medical servicesamong the population has significantly increased, placing greater burdens on general hospitals tooffer a wider range of services. The design of hospital signage system plays a crucial role inimproving patient experience and enhancing efficiency. An incomplete signage system can causeconfusion and stress for patients, potentially impacting the overall evaluation of healthcareservices. Due to the expansion and diversification of hospital functions, the design of signagesystem requires more detailed planning and design. This study aims to explore the impact ofdesign elements on the accessibility of general hospital signage system and to reveal throughempirical research how these elements play a critical role in enhancing user experience andsignage efficiency. The study is conducted in two phases, combining qualitative and quantitativeresearch methods. In the first phase, cases study analysis of the signage system at universitygeneral hospitals in Seoul is conducted to extract key indicators for design evaluation. In thesecond phase, opinions from patients, their families, staff, and hospital personnel are collectedthrough surveys, and the impact of design elements on the accessibility of the signage system isexplored through linear regression analysis. The research findings indicate that design elementssuch as typography, color, graphics, location, and lighting of the signage system have asignificant positive correlation with accessibility. The influence of each element is ranked in thefollowing order: location, graphics, color, lighting, and typography. This study not only providestheoretical support for the design of hospital signage system but also offers direction for futuredesign practices and research, with the expectation of contributing to the advancement of signagesystem design in the future.
