This study examined the repair work of Sasungjeon as a background of the bureau's suggestion and considered this suggestion as an attempt to transform the repair system. 본 논문은 1941년 1월부터 1944년 12월까지 시행된 장안사 사성전 수리공사를 살펴본다. 사성전 수리공사는 수리지침 보완과 조직 개편 제안을 담은 문건인 「보물 등 보존공사에 관한 요항」이 지적하는 이 시기 수리체제의 결점을 탐색하는데 적절한 대상이다. 요항이 작성된 1943년은 사성전 수리공사가 한창이던 시기였고, 요항의 작성자로 추정되는 스기야마 노부조(杉山信三)가 감독으로 참여한 공사이기 때문이다. 논문에서는 먼저 장안사 사성전 수리공사 관련 공문 및 첨부문서 230매를 분석하여 공사 경과를 정리하고, 공사 수행 과정에서 발생한 문제들을 짚어보았다. 이후 드러난 문제점을 통해 당시 수리체제의 결점을 고찰하고, 이 결점을 보완하고자 작성된 「보물 등 보존공사에 관한 요항」이 제안하고 있는 수리지침 보완내용과 방향에 대해 살펴보았다.
