테마파크 문화 산업 발전에서 영화와 애니메이션IP의 적용에 관한 연구 -중국 테마파크에 대한 디즈니랜드와 유니버셜 스튜디오의 시사점

경제가 발전하면서 테마파크는 각 도시의 중요한 오락 공간과 문화의 일부분이 되었다. 테마파크는 발전 초기 매우 단순한 형식과 기능을 가졌지만 최근 다양한 측면에서 많은 개선을 이루며 주목을 받고 있다. 디즈니 애니메이션의 스토리, 유니버셜 픽쳐스의 영화와 같은 테마와 콘텐츠는 테마파크의 핵심으로, 테마파크 포지셔닝에 있어 중요한 역할을 맡고 있다. 최근 중국 테마파크는 증가하고 있지만 다수의 테마파크는 적자 상태를 면치 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 반해 다양한 애니메이션, 영화 IP (Intellectual Property)를 보유한 테마파크는 세계적으로 수많은 관람객들의 시선을 사로잡고 있다. 이는 중국 테마파크에 비해 영화, 애니메이션 IP에 대한 활용에 있어 큰 차이가 있기 때문이다. 테마파크는 IP를 바탕으로 몰입식 체험을 제공함으로써 지속적인 발전을 촉진하는 것은 필수적인 요건이 되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 디즈니랜드와 유니버설 스튜디오의 영화, 애니메이션 IP 적용 모델을 분석하여 향후 중국 테마파크의 발전에 참고 자료가 되고자 한다. 연구방법은 최근 2년 동안 전 세계에서 테마파크를 방문한 관람객 수를 바탕으로 영화와 애니메이션 IP가 테마파크에 미치는 중요한 영향을 밝히고 영화와 애니메이션 IP의 테마파크 적용 모델을 분석하였다. 그리고 디즈니랜드와 유니버설 스튜디오를 사례로 영화, 애니메이션 IP 적용 방식과 성공 요인을 도출하였다. 마지막으로 중국의 테마파크와 비교하여 향후 중국 테마파크의 발전 방향에 대한 세 가지 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫째, 영화, 애니메이션 IP의 제작과 운영에 중점을 두고 영향력 있는 IP를 만드는데 주력해야 한다. 둘째, 테마파크를 설계하는 과정에서 영화, 애니메이션 IP 개발에 중점을 두어야 한다. 셋째, 테마파크의 IP 몰입감 구축에 중점을 두어야 한다. 본 연구에서 제시한 디즈니랜드와 유니버셜과 같은 IP 활용 모델과 세 가지 제안을 통해 향후 중국 테마파크 개발 및 구축에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다. With the development of economy, the theme parks have gradually become important places of the entertainment and part of culture in every city. The early forms of theme parks are relatively simple in forms and functions. After years of development, theme parks have been improved in all aspects. The parks now have many branded contents that are of great influence in various industries. Although the number of Chinese integrated theme parks has enjoyed a dramatic increase but most of them are in deficit. However, theme parks that boast film and animation IP, have attracted many tourists around the world. It can be told that the difference lies in the role played by the IP. It is inevitable that theme parks utilize immersed experiences of IP to promote their own sustainable development. The paper aims to summarize the experience and modes of the combination of Disneyland and Universal Studios and film and animation IP, so as to provide reference for designing Chinese theme parks in the future. According to the number of tourists in global theme parks within recent two years, the researcher concludes that IP is of great importance to theme parks, and further categorizes the combination modes of them. Next the researcher finds out the advantages of IP and how it is utilized in theme parks like Disneyland and Universal Studios. Finally, through comparison and contrast, the researcher puts forward suggestions for developing Chinese theme parks. Based on the combination modes and the existing difficulties in developing Chinese theme parks, three suggestions are proposed in the conclusion: Firstly, lay stress on creating and operating an IP, and try to create it influential. Secondly focus on developing and upgrading IP in designing theme parks. Thirdly stress on creating the immersed experiences of IP in the parks. These suggestions together with the summarized combination modes is certain to play an important role in planning, constructing, operating and selling of Chinese theme parks in the future.
