| Abstract | Objective: This study aimed to explore and describe the competencies of clinical training practicum supervisors in basic nursing education. Methods: A qualitative description was used to analyze data collected by observing participants and semi-structured interviews were conducted with four practicum supervisors. Results: The analysis indicated that practicum supervisors in the clinical training had four competencies. First, they could train students as if they were actual members of the practice setting. Second, they could involve others in the clinical setting while building a student-centered network. Third, they could act as role models for nursing students. Fourth, they could turn students' experiences into teachable moments. Conclusions: The characteristics shown to be fundamental in the competencies of practicum supervisors were the values and interpersonal skills that made them excellent practitioners. This study suggests that mastery through experience and receiving systematic on-the-job and on-site training is essential to acquire these four competencies. |

目的：看護基礎教育における臨地実習において，実習指導者が持つコンピテンシーを明らかにすることである。方法：実習指導者４名の実習指導場面の参加観察及び半構成的面接を行い，質的記述的に分析した。結果：臨地実習における実習指導者のコンピテンシーとして【学生を本当の実践の場の一員として導く】【周囲を巻き込みながら臨地に学生中心のネットワークをつくる】【看護師のロールモデルとして行動できる】【学生の経験を学びに変える】の４つが明らかとなった。結論：実習指導者がコンピテンシーの根源的特徴として，優れた実践家としての価値観や対人関係能力を持っていることが明らかとなった。４つのコンピテンシーの獲得には，経験値の高い熟練性と，of-the jobでの系統だった研修会等の受講は必要不可欠である。 Objective: This study aimed to explore and describe the competencies of clinical training practicum supervisors in basic nursing education.
