Abstract I investigated the abundance and distribution of Indian meal moth adults in a rice-milling factory in the Kanto region of Japan for two years from March 2020 using sex pheromone traps. One trap was set up outside the factory and four traps inside it (in the cleaning and separation, brown rice storage, rice milling, and bran storage areas). The traps, which were replaced monthly, captured 5.47 / day moths in the first year and 4.36 / day moths in the second. The moths were captured from March to November; the peak was in August. The rice milling area was where the greatest number of moths was captured in both years.

The rice milling area was where the greatest number of moths was captured in both years. 精米工場においてフェロモントラップを用いて,ノシメマダラメイガ成虫のモニタリングを 2020 年 3 月から 2022 年 2 月までの 2 年間行った.トラップは工場外に 1 個,工場内に 4 個設置(粗選室,タンク室,精米室,糠室)して 1 カ月に一度交換して,捕獲数を記録した.捕獲数/日の 1 年目は 5.47,2 年目は 4.36 であった.成虫が捕獲された期間は,3 月から 11 月で,捕獲数のピークは 8 月に見られた.最多捕獲場所は,両年とも精米室であった.
