| Abstract | 「I 緒言」近年, 口腔機能と全身の運動機能との相関が注目を集めており, 義歯や咬合挙上装置による咬合状態の変化が運動遂行能力の向上をもたらしたとする報告がなされている(Smith, 1987; Vergan et.al., 1984; Mafuman, 1985; 大山ほか, 1991; Forgione, 1992). 1970年代から1980年代にかけて, 咬合と運動能力に関する研究が行われ始めており, Smith(1978)はプロのフットボール選手を対象に, 口頭嵌合位とワックスを噛ませた状態の2顎位で三角筋の筋力をIsometric Deltoid Pressによる主観的測定と, Cybex Dynamometerによる客観的測定を行い, ワックスを噛ませることで筋力が増加したと報告している. Williams et al. (1983)は, 咬頭嵌合位, 下顎安静位, 下顎安静位よりさらに5mm高い下顎位で, 上肢の筋力は下顎安静位で最も高い値を示し, 下顎位の変化が上肢の筋力に影響を与えることを示唆している. |
