They were evaluated for the conventional criteria concerning ECD previously advocated and new criteria that we have recently proposed.【Results】According to conventional criteria, most brain-dead donors were excluded from the application of a pancreas transplantation; however, they actually developed excellent primary organ functions.【Conclusion】It appears that conventional criteria for ECD are too restrictive and that our criteria fit into the reality of Japan. |
