Abstract We examined the usefulness of a new antibiotic, TE-031, in dermatology. Improvement was moderate in 50% and slight in 50% of the patients. These results were acceptable, since the patients had underlying diseases or had been previously treated unsuccessfully. No side-effects or abnormal laboratory values were detected.

No side-effects or abnormal laboratory values were detected. エリスロマイシンの誘導体であるTE-031は酸にきわめて安定で, 組織移行性に優れているとされる。そこで, 現在使用されているエリスロマイシンに代わる抗生剤として使用できるかを検討した。TE-031を1回100～200mg, 1日2回に分けて食前に投薬し, 臨床効果, 細菌学的効果および自覚的, 他覚的副作用を検討した。投薬期間は原則として2週間とした。その結果, 対象疾患別の臨床効果は, 集簇性座瘡では, とくに新生を抑えている状態を有効と理解したが, 2例の内, 有効1例, やや有効1例, 毛嚢炎は1例で有効, 節は2例の内, 1例が有効, 1例は自潰して排膿したあと改善したのでやや有効, 膿痂疹性湿疹は1例で有効, 皮下膿瘍は1例でやや有効, 感染性粉瘤では1例であったが, 途中で切開排膿を行つてから改善したためやや有効とした。以上を合計すると有効は8例中4例で50%, やや有効までいれると全例が該当する。副作用: 大学病院の性格上, 基礎疾患のある症例が多く副作用が心配されたが, 一般検査成績で異常値は1例も検出されなかつた。また, 自覚的副作用も認められなかった。以上の成績から本剤は副作用も少なく, 臨床効果も良い抗菌剤であると考えた。
