Abstract 黒米糠抽出物をラットに長期投与させた場合とさらにランニング運動を併用した場合のラットの身体組成と骨密度に及ぼす影響について検討した.20匹の5週齢の雄ウイスター系ラットをコントロール非運動群(CN;n=5),コントロール運動群(CE;n=5),黒米糠摂取非運動群(BN;n=5)および黒米糠摂取運動群(BE;n=5)の計4群に分けた.CN群とCE群は標準食(CE-2,オリエンタル酵母社,日本),BN群とBE群は10%の黒米糠抽出物を含む標準食を与えた.ランニング運動は23 m/分,60分/日,5日間/週の条件で8週間行った.その結果,BN群はCN群と比べて,有意に体重の増加が認められ(p<0.05),腎周囲脂肪重量も有意な増加が見られた(p<0.01).肝機能障害の指標項目であるGPTも有意に減少し(p<0.05),肝機能の改善が示唆された.さらに,発育発達の促進の可能性を示す大腿骨長および脛骨長において有意に長かった(p<0.01).ランニング運動を併用させた場合においては,BE群の体重および体脂肪はBN群に比べ有意に低値を示し(p<0.05, p<0.001),CE群とほぼ同程度に体重および体脂肪の増加を抑制した.また,BN群とBE群はともに大腿骨長および脛骨長が伸長したのみならず, BE群では大腿骨および頚骨の骨密度も有意に増加し(p<0.05, p<0.01),黒米糠抽出物の摂取と運動との相乗効果が認められた.以上の結果から,黒米糠抽出物をラットに長期投与することによって,骨の縦軸成長を促進する可能性と共に体重の増加を起こす可能性が示唆されるが,運動を併用することによって体脂肪の減少と共に体重増加を抑制させて,さらに骨密度の増加を引き起こす効果があることが示唆された.
