Abstract 社交不安においては,自己注目と他者注目が症状の維持要因とされているが,社会的場面において2つの注意の偏りがどのような関係にあるのかを示した実証的研究は少ない。本稿では,自己注目や他者注目を視線や脳活動によって可視化することで,両者を比較可能な形で捉えることを目的とした,Tomita et al.(2020)とTomita & Kumano(2021;第2回日本不安症学会学術賞受賞論文)の2つの研究を紹介した。研究の結果,右前頭極と左上側頭回の過活動は対人場面で生じる自己注目や他者注目それぞれの客観的指標となることが示唆された。対人場面でこれらの脳活動をリアルタイムに測定することで,社交不安者の自己注目と他者注目の程度を,本人が自覚していない場合でも予測できることが期待される。また,自己注目と他者注目は独立した構成概念であることが脳の観点から示唆された。
