Abstract The paper considers the principle of constructing a new class of single-phase voltage inverters (SVI) of increased power when used to solve the problem of available switching elements limited in unit power - transistors. The basis for solving the problem is the principle of M channel conversion (MChC) of the energy flow. To convert the voltage in the channels, the unipolar PWM algorithm (UPWM) is used. After summing the currents of M channels (with the help of M winding transfilters - TF-M), a multi-level voltage with amplitude pulse-width modulation (APWM) is formed at the output of the M channel inverter (M-SVI), which minimizes the mass of the output filters. It is shown that this direction of the structural-algorithmic synthesis of M-SVI satisfies the modern trends in the development of power converter technology. Under the assumptions made, the results of studies of the properties and performance of this system, obtained on the basis of computer simulation (using Cadence OrCAD Capture), are presented, and on this basis its advantages are formulated.
